DANBURY, CT – Stockton University freshman Brielle Soltys was chosen ECAC Rookie of the Year in women's lacrosse by the
Eastern College Athletic Conference. Soltys compiled an impressive list of honors that includes NJAC Rookie of the Year, IWLCA Boardwalk Region First Team and NJAC First Team this season.
Soltys finished 19th in NCAA Division III in caused turnovers per game (3.00) and 36th in ground balls per game (4.12). The midfielder led the NJAC in ground balls and finished second in caused turnovers, fourth in draw controls (3.82/game) and seventh in assists (1.12/game). Soltys contributed offensively as well. tying for the team lead in assists (19) and finishing second on the Ospreys in goals (33) and points (52).
During the season, Soltys was named NJAC Rookie of the Week five times and NJAC Defensive Player of the Week once. She set school records for ground balls in a season (70) plus draw controls (14 vs. Farmingdale State on 3/14/26) and caused turnovers (9 vs. Neumann on 2/17/26) in a game.
Additionally, Kean's Savannah Olsson was named to the All-ECAC Team. Olsson, a First Team All-NJAC selection, totaled 52 groundballs, 31 caused turnovers, 16 draw controls, 17 goals and five assists over 15 games.
