NJAC Softball All-Conference Announced; Kinnally and Tramp Become Two-Time Major Award Winners

PITMAN, NJ --- The College of New Jersey fifth-year shortstop Julia Kinnally (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River) and Stockton University senior pitcher Nerina Tramp (Blackwood, NJ/Highland Regional) repeat as major award winners to highlight the 2025 NJAC Softball All-Conference Team.

Kinnally adds a second Player of the Year honor to her name, last winning the same in 2023. Tramp becomes a back-to-back winner of the Pitcher of the Year honor. Additionally, Stockton’s McKenna George (Centennial, CO/Eaglecrest) and Kean University’s Gina Mahlik (Bernardsville, NJ/Bernards) share Co-Rookie of the Year honors.

All selections were made via a vote of the league’s 10 head coaches and were based on conference-only statistics.

Kinnally powered TCNJ to a 15-3 record in conference action as the Lions earned the second seed and a bye in the NJAC softball tournament. The three-time All-Conference honoree and two-time Player of the Year led the league with 23 RBI in NJAC play and ranked in the top five in nine different conference-only statistical categories. She posted the second-highest slugging percentage (.825) and OPS (1.356), second-most home runs (4), third-highest batting average (.491), and third-most hits (28). Kinnally was also tied for fourth in conference-only runs scored (19), fifth in on-base percentage (.531), and belted seven doubles.

Tramp earns her second Pitcher of the Year honor after a truly dominant season in conference play. She led all NJAC pitchers in conference-only ERA (0.47), conference-only strikeouts (65), conference-only opponent batting average (.145), and conference innings pitched (59.2). She allowed just two extra-base hits in NJAC play. Tramp struck out a season-high 12 in a late-season win over Kean. She was a two-time NJAC Pitcher of the Week this season.

George made an immediate impact in her first collegiate season at Stockton. A two-time Rookie of the Week, she posted a .300 conference-only batting average and .836 slugging percentage. She belted six doubles, a triple, and a home run, driving in nine runs in NJAC play. She also ranked tied for fifth in conference-only stolen bases (11), going a perfect 11-for-11 in attempts. Overall for the season, she has the second-highest batting average of any Osprey.

Mahlik also had an impactful rookie season for Kean. A Week 7 Rookie of the Week, Mahlik posted a .321 conference-only batting average and .896 slugging percentage. She rapped three doubles, two triples, and a home run against NJAC opponents. The rookie shortstop also posted a .948 fielding percentage, committing just three miscues in 58 chances. She posted Kean’s third-highest batting average in league play.

Rowan University head coach Kim Wilson and assistants Mary Murray, Ann Dailey, Megan Murzello, Alexa Massa, Tom Homan, and Paige Wilson were voted the Dr. June Walker Coaching Staff of the Year by her peers. They guided Rowan to a 39-1 overall regular season record, 17-1 NJAC record, and the NJAC regular season title. They had seven players named to this year’s all-conference team, including five on the First Team.
