TCNJ Wins 42nd Consecutive NJAC Women's Tennis Title

EWING, NJ --- The NJAC women's tennis trophy remains in Ewing for the 42nd straight year, as TCNJ took a 4-0 win over Stockton in the conference championship match on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Lions advance to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament via the automatic bid.

Needing to win just one doubles match to clinch the doubles point over a shorthanded Stockton squad, top flight doubles pair Zoey Albert and Shruti Mannan won 6-1. Aira Abalos and Gabrielle Brideau were close to a win at second doubles, up 5-2 when the doubles point was clinched.

The Lions needed just one singles win as well to clinch the match, which Gabriella Robinson did with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the four spot. Albert was up 6-2, 3-0 at the top spot, Aira Abalos up 6-0, 4-2 at #2 singles, and Mannan up 6-1, 3-0 at #3 single when the match was clinched.
