EWING, N.J. – The longest streak of championships in NCAA history is alive and well.
The TCNJ women's tennis team extended its unprecedented run of dominance over the NJAC to a 43
rd consecutive year with a resounding 4-0 sweep of Rutgers-Camden in the conference championship match on Saturday.
The Lions (19-1) clinched the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will learn their first-round opponent and destination on Monday, May 4, when the field is revealed during a selection show on NCAA.com.
The Lions' 43 consecutive titles is the longest known streak in the NCAA, in any division and for any sport. TCNJ has won 219 straight regular-season NJAC matches and is 230-0 all-time against conference competition.
Elizabeth Ring and Gabriella Robinson got things started with a 6-0 bagel at number three doubles, and Zoey Albert and Shruti Mannan downed Gabby Albert and Bella Albert (no relation to Zoey) by a 6-1 count at number one.
Eleni Dakos and Gabrielle Brideau led 5-1 at number two doubles.
With singles flights one, two, five, and six first out on the Rec Center courts, Robinson quickly made it 2-0 with a double-bagel domination at number five.
Dakos handled Gabby Albert 6-0, 6-1 at number one, and Ring provided the championship clinching point with a 6-0, 6-0 double-bagel at number six.
Albert was leading 6-2, 4-0 at number two singles when the match ended.

- Albert moved into a tie for 20th all-time with her 66th career doubles win
- Albert and Dakos each have 43 combined wins this season, tied for 7th-most in the modern era (since NCAA match limits were instituted in 1992)
- Dakos' 22 singles wins are tied for 4th-most in a single-season in the modern era
- Ring and Robinson each cracked the 40-win mark for the season
