GLASSBORO, NJ --- Evan Schlotterbeck scored in the 31st minute to lift Rowan to a 1-0 victory over TCNJ in the NJAC Men's Soccer Championship on November 8, 2025, at the Rowan Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.

Schlotterbeck's goal, assisted by Davide Caputo, proved to be the difference as Rowan (15-3-4) captured the conference championship. The defender's strike came off a corner kick sequence, giving the Profs the lead they would never relinquish.

TCNJ (11-5-5) made a valiant push throughout the match, particularly in the second half when they unleashed 13 shots. The Lions' best chances came from Matias Hornos, who led all players with five shots and two on target, and Matt Will, who added five attempts with one on goal.

Rowan goalkeeper Travis Holiday was outstanding when called upon, making six saves to preserve the shutout. His counterpart, Sean Najdzinowicz, kept TCNJ in the match with four saves despite conceding the lone goal. Late in the second half, Najdzinowicz made a spectacular diving save on a Johnny Troiano line drive to keep the deficit at 1-0 as TCNJ pressed for an equalizer. Troiano had been a constant threat throughout, leading all players with seven shots and four on target, but couldn't find a way past Najdzinowicz.

Massimo Rodio was also dangerous for TCNJ with four shots, one on goal, while Hornos continued to create chances throughout the 90 minutes. The Lions earned four corner kicks and maintained pressure, but couldn't convert their opportunities.

For Rowan, Caputo was active with three shots to go along with his assist on the game-winning goal. Luke McNamee added two shots, one on goal, and hit the right post in the 52nd minute on a chance that could have doubled the Profs' advantage.

Rowan dominated set pieces, earning 11 corner kicks compared to four for TCNJ. The Profs took six corners in the first half and five in the second as they controlled possession for much of the match.
