Six NJAC Field Hockey Players Earn NFHCA Division III Senior Team Recognition

LITTLE SILVER, NJ – Six student-athletes from the New Jersey Athletic Conference have been named to the 2025 NFHCA Division III Senior Team, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The honor celebrates competitive excellence, leadership, and lasting influence within their programs.
 
The NJAC representatives include Shannon Conroy (Kean), Tess Herman and Alexa Ronning (Rowan), Kristen Bailey and Carlee Thompson (Stockton), and Brigitte Racey (TCNJ).
 
The 60-member team recognizes outstanding senior student-athletes from across Division III field hockey. Selections are based on nominations submitted by NFHCA member coaches and reviewed by committees composed entirely of NFHCA coach members. Seniors are eligible for selection only once during their collegiate careers.
 
Conroy concluded an outstanding career at Kean, earning First Team All-NJAC honors in 2025 for the second consecutive season. The senior midfielder was a key two-way contributor for the Cougars throughout the competitive NJAC schedule. She recorded 14 points on five goals and four assists.
 
Herman was named NJAC Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, concluding her career as a three-time All-Conference First Team selection. The senior back anchored a Rowan defense that went a perfect 6-0 in NJAC play while allowing only 10 conference goals. She contributed offensively as well with three goals and eight assists on the season, including four assists in league play.
 
Ronning recorded six goals and five assists for a career-high 17 points this season. She had the first multiple-goal game of her career with two in 3-0 win over Montclair State that clinched the Profs' fifth straight NJAC regular-season title. She and Herman helped lead the Profs to their fifth straight NJAC championship title as well.
 
Thompson was named NJAC Midfielder of the Year, capping a stellar career as a three-time All-Conference honoree and two-time First Team selection. The senior posted 32 points overall on 12 goals and eight assists, ranking third in the NJAC in conference play with 16 points on six goals and four assists. She recorded two game-winning goals in league action and converted one penalty stroke attempt.
 
Bailey, a First Team All-NJAC selection for the third consecutive year, was a consistent force in the midfield throughout her career. She finished the season ranked tied for second in the NJAC in assists (8), and was sixth in points (26) and tied for eighth in goals (9). She was key on defense as well, as she finished tied for fourth in defensive saves (5).
 
Racey was named NJAC Goaltender of the Year after a terrific senior season. She posted a 1.01 goals against average overall with a .836 save percentage, making 102 saves while recording six shutouts and compiling a 13-6 record.
 
Thanks to a generous contribution from longtime coach and donor Karren Mann, each selected 2025 student-athlete will receive a personalized engraved award commemorating this special recognition.
