Rowan's Herman, Stockton's Thompson, TCNJ's Huff Named to NFHCA All-America Team

PITMAN, NJ --- Three New Jersey Athletic Conference field hockey players have been honored as All-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), including Rowan’s Tess Herman, Stockton’s Carlee Thompson, and TCNJ’s Jadyn Huff.

Herman and Thompson earned Second Team All-America accolades, and Huff was named to the Third Team.

Tess Herman

Herman closes out her stellar career as the 50th All-American in Rowan field hockey history and the eighth player to earn the honor in multiple seasons.

The senior defender earned her third straight selection to the NFHCA All-Region IV First Team in 2025 while she has been an All-Region performer all four seasons. Herman was chosen as the 2025 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year, becoming Rowan's first two-time recipient of the award. She was also recognized on the All-NJAC First Team for the third time in her career and was chosen to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team.

The team co-captain anchored the Profs' defense which held the opponents to just 1.77 goals per game as Rowan outscored the foes by a 74-39 margin. She contributed offensively by totaling a career-high 13 points with three goals and a personal-best eight assists.

The sports communications and media major has also been recognized for her work in the classroom as a two-time selection to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Field Hockey Team and a three-time Rowan Scholar-Athlete of Distinction.

Herman was a key member of Rowan's team which went 16-6 and won its fifth consecutive NJAC Championship. The #13 Profs also made their seventh straight appearance in the NCAA Championship.

Carlee Thompson

Thompson became just the second All-American in the 23-season history of Stockton Field Hockey (Allie Palumbo, 2023 Third Team). Her selection to the Second Team is the highest national recognition ever for an Osprey field hockey player.

The All-American honor tops an impressive list of accolades for Thompson this fall that consists of NJAC Midfielder of the Year, NJAC First Team, NFHCA All-Region IV First Team, NFHCA Senior Team and one NJAC Offensive Player of the Week award (9/2/25).

Thompson's play at center midfield was a huge key to Stockton's success during an 11-9 season. She started all 20 games, leading the team in goals (12), points (32) and game-winning goals (4) while also tying for the team lead in assists (8). Her 32 points were the fourth highest season total in program history.

Thompson was Stockton's first-ever NJAC Midfielder of the Year after finishing second in the conference in game-winning goals (4), tied for second in assists (8) and fourth in goals (12) and points (32). She recorded at least one point in 11 games, highlighted by one five-point game and three four-point performances.

Although she played just three seasons at Stockton after transferring from Montclair State, Thompson set a school record with 27 career assists and finished her career third in school history in points (75) and tied for sixth in goals (24).

The NFHCA Second Team All-American honor put the finishing touch on a remarkable career in which Thompson was voted NFHCA Region IV First Team and NJAC First Team after each of her three seasons in a Stockton uniform (2023-25).

Jadyn Huff

The All-America nod puts an exclamation point on a sensational campaign for Huff, who was also named the NJAC Offensive Player of the Year and a first team All-Region honoree.

The junior led the conference and ranked inside the top-10 in all of Division III with 13 assists, and she finished third in the NJAC with 35 points. Huff, who scored 11 goals on the year, was the only player in the league to reach double figures in both goals and assists.

Huff had three games with multiple goals, including one with two markers and three assists against Ramapo, and was held without a point only three times during the regular season. She will enter her senior season with career totals of 21 goals and 16 assists.

Huff's selection extends TCNJ's streak of having at least one All-American in every year of head coach Sharon Pfluger's tenure.
