Final NJAC Football Weekly Honors of 2025 Announced

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its football weekly honors for the week ending Nov. 16.
 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DARRELL WALTER • Salisbury University
Junior • Slotback • Glen Burnie, MD
 
Walter was named the final NJAC Offensive Player of the Week of the 2025 season after he powered the Sea Gulls' offensive attack with four touchdowns in a dominant 63-13 victory over Vermont State-Castleton. The Glen Burnie native carried 10 times for 77 yards while finding the end zone four times as Salisbury's rushing attack compiled 382 yards on the ground. Walter's explosive scoring performance helped the Sea Gulls secure their spot in the NCAA Tournament with a commanding regular-season finale victory.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANTHONY HENRIQUEZ • Rowan University
Senior • Linebacker • Hoboken, NJ/Hoboken
 
Henriquez earns the final NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honor of 2025 after he dominated in the Profs' 47-34 victory at Kean, recording a game-high 12 tackles while adding 2.0 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception and one forced fumble. His third-quarter interception led directly to a Rowan score on the ensuing offensive possession, helping the Profs build their lead. The senior linebacker was disruptive throughout, recording 14 yards on his sacks while making plays across the field in his final regular-season performance.
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JAMIR ROWE • Rowan University
Freshman • Wide Receiver • Deptford, NJ/St. Joseph's Prep (PA)
 
Rowe collects the final NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week honor of the season after he provided a spark in Rowan's 47-34 victory at Kean with an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter. The score helped the Profs build a commanding 34-6 lead that provided a cushion against Kean’s comeback attempt.
 
OFFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
TY KLINE • Kean University
Freshman • Quarterback • Little Egg Harbor, NJ/Pinelands Regional
 
Kline is named the final NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week after he delivered an impressive performance in his first complete game of the season, completing 17 of 38 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns while adding one rushing touchdown. Despite the 47-34 loss to Rowan, the freshman quarterback showed poise and playmaking ability throughout the contest, helping Kean cut into the lead that the Profs had built.
 
DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
JOSE TEJEIRO • Montclair State University
Freshman • Defensive Line • Edison, NJ/St. Thomas Aquinas
 
Tejeiro earns the final NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Week honor of the year after he concluded his rookie campaign with a strong showing in the Red Hawks' 24-21 victory at William Paterson. The freshman recorded three total tackles and 1.5 sacks for five yards, applying consistent pressure from the defensive line. His disruptive presence helped Montclair State secure the conference victory in the regular-season finale.
