#11 Rowan Falls 1-0 on Late Goal to Penn State-Harrisburg in Second Round NCAA Tournament Game

NEWPORT NEWS, VA -- #11 Rowan had its season come to an end in the second round of the NCAA Tournament as the Profs fell on a late goal in a 1-0 decision to Penn State-Harrisburg Sunday evening on the campus of Christopher Newport.

The Lions' Kylie Yap netted the eventual game winner with 1:22 remaining in the contest, volleying in a shot after a corner kick.

The two teams had nearly identical stats as Rowan held a slight edge in shots (9-8) and corners (5-3).

Goalie Leah Edinger recorded two saves in net while Penn State-Harrisburg's Alexis Valenta made three stops.

Rowan was making its fourth-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and its 17th in program history.
