PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its first football weekly honors of the 2023 season, covering the performances for the week ending Sept. 3.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TREVOR BOPP • The College of New Jersey

Bopp earns the first NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honor of the 2023 season. He made history in Saturday’s season opener against Eastern, throwing for a school-record 405 yards and four touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter to help the Lions turn a slim 27-21 lead into a 41-21 runaway. The senior signal-caller, who also added a rushing score to his sparkling stat line, completed 32 of 55 passes, which included 10 completions to Ryan Gill and a pair of scoring strikes to Jayson Schmidt. Bopp’s passing yardage surpassed the previous mark of 383 by Bob Lockhart in 1980.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JIMMY CELENTANO • Salisbury University
Junior • Linebacker • Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty
Celentano is named the first NJAC Defensive Player of the Week of the 2023 season after anchoring the No. 25 Salisbury defense to a 28-7 season-opening win over Washington & Lee. He posted 15 stops to lead all tacklers and was part of a defensive unit that forced four W&L turnovers. The 15 stops were a career high for the junior all-conference linebacker.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TYREEK ROLLINS • William Paterson University
Sophomore • Wide Receiver/Returner• Ewing, NJ/Ewing
Rollins collects the first Special Teams Player of the Week honor of the season. Rollins returned three kicks for 123 yards against FDU-Florham in his sophomore season debut, including one for an 85-yard touchdown. He is now tied for fifth in program history for the longest kickoff return in a game. It was the longest return on a kickoff by a Pioneer since 2018.
OFFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
RAJAN BOOKER-FELDER • Christopher Newport University
Freshman • Running Back • Lynchburg, VA/Heritage
Booker-Felder earns the first NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week honor after contributing in his collegiate debut, a 45-0 shutout of Southern Virginia. He rushed the ball six times on Saturday for 25 yards in the victory. Booker-Felder’s day included a nine-yard run from scrimmage, as he averaged 4.2 yards per carry.
