PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its women's basketball weekly honors of the season for the week ending Nov. 26.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DAMARIS RODRIGUEZ • New Jersey City University

Rodriguez earns her first NJAC Player of the Week nod of the 2023-24 season after leading NJCU to a pair of wins, including the conference opener over Montclair State (62-43) and a nonconference tilt over New Paltz (75-71). She averaged 21.0 points, 6.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals over 38.9 minutes per game and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Rodriguez began with a near-triple-double in NJCU’s fifth straight win over MSU, notching game highs in points (18), assists (8) and steals (4), as well as a team-high nine boards. Then, in four-point win over the Hawks - which are receiving votes in the national poll - she notched a team-best 24 points to go with two steals and a team-high-tying five assists.

Kowalski is named NJAC Rookie of the Week for the first time after leading TCNJ to an explosive win in its conference opener against Rutgers-Camden. Kowalski went off for a season-high 26 points and dished out eight assists in Tuesday’s 114-55 win over Rutgers-Camden. The first-year guard was 10-for-13 from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range, and did not commit a single turnover in helping the Lions post their highest single-game scoring output in more than 30 years. Kowalski also recorded a pair of steals and grabbed two rebounds.
