MAHWAH, NJ --- Ramapo College senior men's soccer player Joseph Fala has signed a USL Championship contract with the New York Red Bulls II, announced by the organization earlier this week.
Fala recently finished his collegiate career as one of the top players at Ramapo with his resume encompassing some of the most prestigious awards and records in Division III. "I'm beyond thankful for this opportunity and can't thank the Ramapo Community enough for making me who I am today," Fala said.
A two-time All-American, Fala set a new single season record for goals with 27 during his junior year. He finished 3
rd all-time in career goals (48) and tied for 6
th in career assists (17). He also set a new program mark for career game-winning goals with 19. Ramapo College Head Coach

The Red Bulls have gained not only a talented player in Joe but also a great individual who will always work hard for the club and represent it well on and off the field. We wish Joe the best of luck and look forward to seeing his future successes."
Fala took part in the New York Red Bulls II preseason training camp and started all four of the exhibitions matches with the club. "Joe is a guy that we saw in our combine and he sparked our interest," head coach John Wolyniec said. "He has done nothing but exceed expectations since then. We are developing him as a center back, but his work rate and athleticism make him interesting at multiple positions."
The club opens the 2020 USL Championship season this Saturday at MSU Soccer Park on the campus of Montclair State University against the Tampa Bay Rowdies, kick-off set for 3 p.m.
