NJCU Captures Top Seed As 2016 NJAC Men's Basketball Championship Bracket Announced

PITMAN, NJ --- On the heels of its first regular season championship in nine years, New Jersey City earned the top seed and a first round bye in the upcoming NJAC Men's Basketball Championship as the bracket was announced on February 17. Stockton snagged the No. 2 seed and the other first round bye. Third-seeded Rutgers-Newark, #4 Ramapo, #5 TCNJ and #6 William Paterson round out the six-team championship field, and will open the tournament in the first round on Saturday, February 20.

NJCU will host the winner of the Ramapo/TCNJ matchup in the semifinal round on Wednesday, February 24, at 7:00 PM. Stockton is set to host the winner of the Rutgers-Newark/William Paterson game in the second semifinal, also at 7:00 PM on Feb. 24.

The highest remaining seeds will play for the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament in the championship game on Saturday, February 27.
