NJAC Top 70-in-70: Anthony Miles, NJCU (#65)

Anthony Miles • New Jersey City University
Men's Track & Field • 2004-06

Anthony Miles was one of the most decorated sprinters in New Jersey City University track and field history, becoming just the fifth man in NCAA Division III history to repeat as national champion in the 55-meter dash. He won back-to-back national titles in the event in 2005 and 2006, capping his second championship with a career-best time of 6.29 seconds, the sixth-fastest time ever run in a Division III final. A four-time NCAA First Team All-American, Miles also earned All-America honors in the 100-meter dash and long jump. He was a key member of NJCU's record-setting relay units, anchoring the 4x100-meter relay that established an NCAA Division III national record of 39.95 seconds at the 2006 Penn Relays as well as the 4x200-meter relay that set an NJAC record.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the New Jersey Athletic Conference, the NJAC will name its Top 70 Student-Athletes in the 70-year history of the conference. All selections were made by a panel comprised of current and former athletic administrators, current and former athletic communications personnel, conference office staff, and media. Consideration was limited to full-member institution student-athletes who competed in sports currently sponsored by the NJAC.
