Robin Selbst • Trenton State College
Field Hockey & Softball • 1991-95

Robin Selbst carved out a unique place in NCAA Division III history at Trenton State College, becoming the only player to win national championships in three different team sports. A four-time First Team All-American, Selbst captured four NCAA titles across field hockey, softball, and women's lacrosse during her collegiate career. A two-time First Team All-American in field hockey, Selbst helped the Lions win the 1991 national championship. She was equally accomplished in softball, earning two First Team All-America honors while helping Trenton State capture NCAA titles in 1992 and 1994. With one season of eligibility remaining, Selbst joined the women's lacrosse team as a fifth-year senior and was part of a fourth national championship in 1996. Selbst was also a two-time bronze medalist with the U.S. Maccabiah Field Hockey Team.

She has continued her legacy at her alma mater as a longtime assistant coach in field hockey and lacrosse, helping the programs combine for six more national championships. Selbst was inducted into the TCNJ Athletic Alumni Hall of Fame in 2012.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the New Jersey Athletic Conference, the NJAC will name its Top 70 Student-Athletes in the 70-year history of the conference. All selections were made by a panel comprised of current and former athletic administrators, current and former athletic communications personnel, conference office staff, and media. Consideration was limited to full-member institution student-athletes who competed in sports currently sponsored by the NJAC.
