On December 5, 2024, Michelle Serabian was elevated to the position of Associate Commissioner.

Serabian has been with the NJAC since September 1, 2015, when she assumed the newly created position of Assistant Commissioner. Serabian's role was funded in part through the NCAA Division III Strategic Alliance Matching Grant.

“After a national search which produced many outstanding candidates, we are thrilled to add Michelle as a part of the New Jersey Athletic Conference,” said NJAC Commissioner Terry Small at the time of her hiring. “I consider her hiring to be a very important development in the history of our conference because of the experience and the skill-set that she brings to this new position. I think I speak for our entire conference membership when I say that we look forward to the contributions that Michelle will make to our conference.”

In her time with the NJAC, Serabian has been primarily responsible for njacsports.com and all conference social media outlets. She has coordinated two redesigns of njacsports.com, first in Spring 2018 and again in Fall 2022. She is the advisor for the NJAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, extending the conference's annual Special Olympics Unified Cup participation. In 2019, Serabian was named to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Regional Advisory Committee. In 2020, Serabian was selected to the NCAA Division III Senior Woman Administrator program and was named to the NCAA Division III Strategic Alliance Matching Grant selection committee. In 2023, Serabian was named to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Regional Advisory Committee.

Serabian has also served as an NCAA site representative for various regional tournament sites over the years.

Serabian previously spent seven years at La Salle University, the last four of which she served in the position of Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. Throughout her tenure at La Salle, Serabian served as the primary media contact for the women's basketball, field hockey, women's lacrosse, men’s soccer, softball, men's & women's rowing, men’s & women’s cross country and men’s & women’s track & field teams.

Prior to La Salle, Serabian served as a web intern for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) where she was responsible for editing and creating new content for theacc.com. She has also worked in the sports information offices at Princeton, The College of New Jersey and Bucknell. Serabian also served seven seasons as a game day assistant with the Lakewood BlueClaws minor league baseball club.

Serabian is a 2007 graduate (cum laude) of The College of New Jersey with a bachelor's degree in interactive multimedia.
