Ramapo Sweeps Final NJAC Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors of 2026; Duca, Menter, Fabre Honored

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its men's volleyball weekly award winners for the week ending April 5.
 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JOSEPH DUCA • Ramapo College
Junior • Setter • Nutley, NJ/Nutley
 
Duca earns NJAC Player of the Week after orchestrating Ramapo's offense across two victories last week to wrap up the season. The junior setter totaled 74 assists (9.25/set), 16 digs (2.00/set), four kills, and a service ace over eight sets. Duca dished out 45 assists and nine digs in a five-set win over Bard on Wednesday before adding 29 assists and seven digs in a three-set sweep of John Jay on Saturday. He committed just one assist error in 161 attempts across the two matches.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AMARI MENTER • Ramapo College
Sophomore • Outside Hitter • Long Branch, NJ/Long Branch
 
Menter has been named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week after a strong all-around week in Ramapo's two wins to close out 2026. The sophomore recorded eight digs (1.00/set) and four total blocks (0.50/set) across eight sets while also contributing 31 kills on a .365 hitting percentage. Menter posted six digs and two blocks in a five-set victory over Bard on Wednesday, then added two digs, one solo block, and one block assist in a three-set sweep of John Jay on Saturday.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
XAVIER FABRE • Ramapo College
Freshman • Middle Blocker • Brooklyn, NY/Lakeland
 
Fabre claims NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after an efficient two-match final week of the season for the Roadrunners. The freshman middle blocker registered 16 kills on a blistering .609 hitting percentage with four total blocks (0.50/set) and two service aces across eight sets. Fabre was dominant against Bard on Wednesday, racking up 10 kills on a .692 clip with three blocks in a five-set win, then followed with six kills on .500 hitting and a block assist in a three-set sweep of John Jay on Saturday.
