INDIANAPOLIS – Six New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) programs will be represented at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, scheduled for March 18–21 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Student-athletes from Kean, Rowan, Salisbury, TCNJ, Mary Washington, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy will participate in the national meet across individual swimming events, relays, and diving competition.
Rowan’s Ella Pennington enters the championship as one of the conference’s top national contenders. Pennington holds the No. 1 seed in both the 100 butterfly (53.87) and 200 backstroke (1:58.84) and is also seeded second nationally in the 100 backstroke (54.45). She will be joined by teammate Kaitlyn Crouthamel, who will compete in the 500 freestyle, 400 individual medley, and 1650 freestyle.
Kean sophomore Braelyn Wilson will compete in three individual events—the 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 100 backstroke—and will also swim on relay teams for the Cougars. Wilson enters the 100 backstroke seeded third nationally (54.46), just behind Pennington, giving the NJAC two of the top three seeds in the event. Teammate Olivia Chow will also compete in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke.
Salisbury will send one of the conference’s largest contingents to Indianapolis, highlighted by Rowan O’Donoghue, who enters the meet seeded fourth nationally in the 200 freestyle (1:49.26) and sixth in the 500 freestyle (4:53.23) while also competing in the 100 freestyle. Teammate Addi Wood is seeded sixth in the 1650 freestyle (16:54.94) and will also swim the 500 freestyle. The Sea Gulls will also feature Lily Griffin, Libby Miyashita, and Maddie Powell in individual events while competing in several relays.
Mary Washington’s Soleil Clifford will also represent the NJAC contingent, competing in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
On the men’s side, TCNJ leads the NJAC contingent, sending swimmers into competition across distance freestyle, individual medley, butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke events while also fielding multiple relay teams.
Senior Steven Bendoraitis enters the championship seeded fifth in the 500 freestyle (4:26.12) and seventh in the 200 freestyle (1:37.14) while also competing in the 1650 freestyle. Teammate Gavin Formon is seeded fifth nationally in the 1650 freestyle (15:34.77) and will also swim the 500 freestyle and 400 individual medley.
TCNJ sophomore Joe McChesney will compete in the 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 200 butterfly, entering the meet seeded fifth nationally in the 100 butterfly (47.19). Teammate Andrew Kidchob will swim the 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, and 100 breaststroke.
Salisbury will also be represented in men’s individual competition, with Cameron Byrd competing in the 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly, Mason Potts swimming the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly, and Dominick Kazzi competing in the 100 breaststroke. All three will also contribute to Salisbury relay lineups.
In diving competition, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy’s Carter Kov will participate in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, representing the conference in diving competition.
Preliminary heats will take place each morning throughout the four-day championship, with finals held each evening. The top eight finishers in each event earn First Team All-America honors, while places 9–16 receive Second Team All-America recognition.
