2026 NJAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Announced

PITMAN, NJ --- Montclair State University sophomore forward Tomas Monteiro (Jersey City, NJ/County Prep) has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year to headline an impressive slate of award winners and all-conference honorees.

Additionally, Rowan University junior Evan Vilaboy (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River) was tabbed the Pat Baldiserra Midfielder of the Year; TCNJ sophomore Matt Maceri (Cedar Grove, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) was named Defensive Player of the Year; Montclair State sophomore Pierre Soumeillant (Princeton, NJ/Montgomery) is the Goalkeeper of the Year; Montclair State's Kenet Lopez (Plainfield, NJ/Plainfield) received the David Logar Leadership Award; Rutgers-Newark freshman Zahra-Deen Amadou (Jersey City, NJ/William Dickinson) is the Rookie of the Year; and Montclair State head coach Todd Tumelty and his staff were tabbed the Jeff Haines Coaching Staff of the Year.

In total, 45 student-athletes earned all-conference recognition for the fall 2026 season. All-conference and major award selections were determined by a vote of the league's head coaches and were based on conference-only performances.

Monteiro, a Second Team All-Conference selection a year ago, earned First Team honors for the first time while powering the NJAC's highest-scoring offense. In conference play, the sophomore forward tied for the league lead with five assists and ranked third with 13 points on four goals and five assists. He had a hand in nine of Montclair State's 27 conference goals and recorded two game-winning goals, tied for second in the NJAC.

Vilaboy earned the Pat Baldiserra Midfielder of the Year award in his first all-conference season. In conference play, the junior ranked second in the NJAC with 15 points on six goals and three assists, leading all league midfielders in both goals and points. His six goals tied for second in the conference, and his three game-winning goals led the NJAC. Vilaboy was named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 19.

Maceri, an Honorable Mention selection last season, anchored the defense for a TCNJ squad that completed an unbeaten regular season at 8-0-9 overall and 4-0-5 in NJAC play. The sophomore back helped lead a Lions unit that allowed just six goals in nine conference games, tied for the fewest in the league, while posting a league-best .846 team save percentage. Maceri was named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 5.

Soumeillant earned Goalkeeper of the Year honors in his first all-conference season. In conference play, the sophomore tied for the league lead with a 0.67 goals against average and four shutouts, making 17 saves in 806 minutes. He backstopped a Montclair State defense that allowed just six goals in nine conference games, tied for the fewest in the NJAC.

Lopez was named the David Logar Leadership Award recipient. The award is presented annually to the player who best displays the attributes of leadership and courage. The fifth-year midfielder provided steady leadership for a Montclair State squad that led the NJAC in scoring and goal margin this fall. He started every game in conference play, contributing a goal and assist.

Amadou made an immediate impact as a freshman, earning NJAC Rookie of the Year honors and a spot on the First Team. In conference play, the forward led the all NJAC players with eight goals and 18 points (2.00 per game), adding two assists. He had a hand in 10 of Rutgers-Newark's 23 conference goals. Amadou was a two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week and was named Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 2.

Tumelty along with assistants Joe Cullen, Marlon Pollard, Antonio D'Andrea, Owen Murphy and Brendan Guzman guided Montclair State to an outstanding season, earning Jeff Haines Coaching Staff of the Year honors. In conference play, the Red Hawks led the NJAC to an unbeaten 7-0-2 record and top seed in the NJAC Tournament. Montclair State placed six players on the First Team and eight on the all-conference team overall.
