Rowan's Oliveto, NJCU's Gulbin, Kean's Monroe Earn NJAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's soccer weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 19.
 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANGELA OLIVETO • Rowan University
Sophomore • Forward • Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown
 
Oliveto earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after she exploded for four goals in a 1-0-1 NJAC week, netting two in a 5-0 win at Stockton on Wednesday and another pair in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Montclair State. The sophomore forward was clinical with her finishing, converting five of her six shots on goal across the two matches to lead the Profs' offensive attack. Oliveto is currently ranked tied for fifth in conference-only goals (4) and tied for sixth in conference-only points (9).
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AUBREY GULBIN • New Jersey City University
Sophomore • Back • Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood
 
Gulbin is named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time after she anchored a defense that helped NJCU earn four points during the week, including a 1-0 shutout victory over Ramapo. The sophomore defender also found the back of the net herself, scoring a goal in the 1-1 draw against Rutgers-Camden while playing all 134 minutes across both contests. Gulbin currently has seven points on three goals and one assist from the backfield.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
STEPHANIE MONROE • Kean University
Freshman • Midfielder • Marlton, NJ/Cherokee
 
Monroe picks up her second NJAC Rookie of the Week honor after she orchestrated Kean's attack throughout the week, recording two assists across 180 minutes of action. The freshman midfielder set up a goal in the 3-1 loss to Rutgers-Newark before adding another assist in the 1-1 draw with William Paterson. Monroe currently leads the NJAC in overall assists (7) and is second in conference-only assists (4).
