PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's swimming and diving weekly honors for the week ending Jan. 12.
SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
BRIDGET ZAGROBELNY • University of Mary Washington
Junior • Fredericksburg, VA/Courtland
Zagrobelny is named NJAC Swimmer of the Week after leading Mary Washington to a 229-57 victory over Catholic, winning all three individual events she competed in. Zagrobelny touched first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.11), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:32.14), and the 200-yard individual medley (2:18.75). She currently holds the NJAC’s top 200 breaststroke time (19
th nationally) and second-fastest 100 breaststroke time. She is also ranked fifth in the NJAC in the 200 IM.
DIVER OF THE WEEK
EMMA WALKER • University of Mary Washington
Senior • Ashburn, VA/Stone Bridge
Walker earns her first NJAC Diver of the Week honor of the season for her performance in Mary Washington’s victory over Catholic. She secured first place in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 154.95. She added a third-place showing on the 1-meter board as well.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MEGAN HU • United States Merchant Marine Academy
Freshman • Syosset, NY/Syosset
Hu is named NJAC Rookie of the Week after winning all three individual events she entered during Merchant Marine’s dual meet against Scranton. Hu claimed victories in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.54), the 200 breaststroke (2:32.01, a season-best), and the 200-yard individual medley (2:16.39). She also contributed as the second leg of the 400 medley relay, which finished second with a time of 4:18.60.
