MAHWAH, NJ --- Tyler Kwinta has been named the head women's volleyball coach at Ramapo College announced today by Director of Athletics Jan Koslowsky. Kwinta becomes the 17th coach in program history.
"Coach Kwinta brings with him a strong background in volleyball, playing and coaching at the Division I level. His experience and roots within the volleyball world will position him well as he has a bright future ahead of him. I look forward to having him be a part of the Roadrunner family, and to lead the women's volleyball program," says Koslowsky.
Coach Kwinta served as the women's volleyball assistant coach at NCAA Division I University of Connecticut during the 2023 season. Kwinta was a four year student-athlete at Sacred Heart University from 2020-2023. He served as the team captain and was named to the EIVA All-Academic team. He played in 72 career matches and dished out 1,413 career assists including a season high 659 in 2023. Kwinta graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Finance & Marketing from Sacred Heart University. Coach Kwinta is a head coach of the boys & girls Warren Sixpack Volleyball Club.
The Roadrunners, who are coming off the program's first NJAC Tournament Title and second NCAA Tournament run in 2023, will open the 2024 season on the road on September 5th at FDU-Florham in a non-conference match at 7pm.
