Colon Named Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Ramapo

MAHWAH, NJ --- Fernando Colon has been named the head men's volleyball coach at Ramapo College announced today by Director of Athletics Jan Koslowsky. Colon becomes the 6th coach in program history.

Colon is no stranger to Ramapo College after guiding the 2023 Women's Volleyball team to the program's first NJAC Tournament Championship in program history and leading the squad to the program's second NCAA Tournament run. The Roadrunners posted a 25-2 overall record in 2023 and a 7-1 record in NJAC regular season play.

"I am pleased that Coach Colon is returning to lead our Men's Volleyball program.  Last year, he showed what he is capable of by leading our women's program to their first ever NJAC Championship. I consider him part of the Roadrunner family, and I am excited to see what he will do for our men's volleyball program," says Koslowsky.

Prior to Ramapo, Colon coached at Bloomfield University where he was the 2021 and 2022 CACC North Division Champions going undefeated in both seasons. The squad also advanced to the CACC Championship match in both 2021 and 2022. Seven student-athletes under Colon's direction were named to the All-CACC Tournament Team.

He was a 3x HCIAL Coach of the Year while his teams won the County Championship from 2015-2019 and the State Sectional Championships in 2016 and 2017.
