PITMAN, NJ --- Rutgers University-Newark senior Zrreyah Moore (Newark, NJ/Payne Tech) has been selected as the NJAC’s Thomas M. Gerrity Most Outstanding Athlete to highlight the 2024 NJAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference Team.

Additionally, Rowan University junior Molly Lodge (Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown) was named Outstanding Track Athlete; Rowan fifth-year senior Isabelle Deal (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) was named Outstanding Field Athlete; and Ramapo freshman Dale Leonard (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) was named Rookie of the Year. TCNJ head coach Justin Lindsey and his staff were voted the Coaching Staff of the Year by his peers.

All-Conference honors were determined by finish at the recent NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship and major awards were voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches.

Moore completes the sweep, earning Most Outstanding Athlete honors for both the indoor and outdoor seasons this year. She won the 100 and 200 meter dashes with high-level national times. Her winning 100 meter time of 11.84 seconds ranks tenth in NCAA Division III and was also both a personal and school record. Her winning time of 24.38 seconds in the 200 was also a PR and ranks as the 11th-fastest in D3 this year. Moore also ran a leg of the 4x400 meter relay that placed second in a school record time of 3:56.89.

Lodge also collected two gold medals and one silver. She won the 400 meter hurdles with a season-best 1:02.26, which ranks as the eighth-fastest mark in D3 this season. She also placed second in the 100 meter dash with a personal record 11.94, which ranks tied for 20th in D3 this season. Lodge also ran a leg of Rowan’s winning 4x400 meter relay that combined for a 3:51.30, which is currently 16th in the nation.

Deal won two gold medals over the weekend, winning both the shot put and javelin. Her winning throw of 13.92 meters in the shot put ranks 12th in D3 this year and was both a school and personal record. She threw 40.77 meters for the javelin win and currently owns the No. 15 mark in the nation. Deal also competed in the hammer, throwing a PR of 41.05 meters for seventh place.

Leonard caps off a highly decorated rookie season with her third Rookie of the Year honor (cross country, indoor track, outdoor track). She won the 1500 meters with an NJAC championship meet record time of 4:29.99, which was also a school record. That time currently ranks 14th in D3 this season. Leonard finished second in a very fast 800 meter race, crossing the finish line in 2:12.66 which was under the old meet record of 2:12.73. She also split 57.27 on Ramapo’s 4x400 meter relay that finished fourth with a combined 3:58.23.

TCNJ head coach Justin Lindsey and his staff including Michael Walker, Jon Hutchinson, Jake Lindacher, and Abbie Rizzo were named NJAC Coaching of the Year. Lindsey takes the top coaching honor for the 25th time overall in his 11 years as head coach, including men’s and women’s cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field. The Lions’ staff coached the squad to its fourth consecutive outdoor title behind three event wins, six second place finishes, and six third-place finishes.
