Jasinski, Price, Burgess Named AFCA All-Americans

WACO, TX --- Three NJAC football student-athletes were named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America teams, including TCNJ’s Malin Jasinski, Salisbury’s Tre Price, and Montclair State’s Nicholas Burgess.

Jasinki and Price earned First Team honors, and Burgess collected his second All-America honor, this year at Second Team.

Jasinski was named NJAC Offensive Player of the Year after establishing himself as one of the premier wideouts in Division III, ranking second nationally in yards per game (137.8) and receiving yards and fourth in receptions. He set single-season program records with 99 receptions for 1,378 yards this season.

Jasinski started the year on fire, posting 13 catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener at Eastern. He followed that up with another 13-catch performance for 139 yards against F&M and went off for 250 yards and two scores in a shootout at Muhlenberg. He had three consecutive games with double-digit grabs and a touchdown against Kean (10-188-1), Gettysburg (10-206-1), and Salisbury (13-105-2) before ending the year with a school-record 17 receptions for 194 yards at Christopher Newport.

Jasinski was a jack of all trades during his time at TCNJ. He played on defense as a freshman, posting five tackles and an interception, before moving to receiver as a sophomore, ultimately winding up as the program's all-time leader in catches (169) and ranking second in career receiving yards (2,053). He also filled in at kick returner and at quarterback for multiple games as a sophomore. Jasinski even threw a 54-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Gill against Salisbury this past season.

Price, the Westminster, Md. native, becomes the 18th AFCA All-American in Sea Gull football history and the first since 2019. He is the first SU player to make the All-America First Team since defensive back Andre Carter in 2013.

Price earned AFCA All-America First Team starting all 11 games so far for Salisbury on the front line helping the offense average 50 points and 494 yards per game. The offense has also been 60 percent on both third and fourth down situations which has been a big part of the team's 11-0 record rolling into the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament. Price also earned All NJAC First-Team along with two other Sea Gull offensive linemen earning All-Conference honors.

Burgess posted a total of 117 tackles which topped his season total last year of 101. He ranked fifth in all of Division III football at that mark during the regular season and led the NJAC by over 20 tackles this season. Of his 117 tackles, he collected career highs in solo tackles (50), tackles for loss (8.5) and sacks (3.5). He also defended a pass and recovered a fumble. His season-best performance came on Senior Day against Christopher Newport on November 9 when he amassed 19 total tackles, the fourth-best single-game performance in program history, that included six solo tackles, a tackle for loss and 0.5 sacks.

Burgess adds this honor to the mountain of accolades he accumulated during his four-year career. It is his second All-American honor after he was named a D3football.com Preseason Third Team All-American at the beginning of the season. The senior linebacker was also a three-time First Team All-NJAC selection, the 2023 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year and a Second Team D3football.com All-Region selection last season.
