PITMAN, NJ --- Montclair State junior forward Amer Lukovic (Clifton, NJ/Clifton) has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year to headline an impressive slate of award winners and all-conference honorees.

Additionally, MSU junior Owen Murphy (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) was tabbed the Pat Baldiserra Midfielder of the Year; fellow MSU junior Ian Chesney (Oakland, NJ/Ramapo) and Rutgers-Camden sophomore Eric Swen (Monrovia, Liberia/Highland Regional (NJ)) share Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors; Kean junior Dominic Ridge (Plainfield, NJ/Academy for the Arts & Advanced Studies) is the Goalkeeper of the Year; MSU senior back Enir Radoncic (Matawan, NJ/Matawan Regional) earned the David Logar Leadership Award; Stockton keeper Brady Bartletta (Hainesport, NJ/Rancocas Valley) is the Rookie of the Year; and MSU's head coach Todd Tumelty and his staff were tabbed the Jeff Haines Coaching Staff of the Year.

In total, 46 student-athletes earned all-conference recognition for the fall 2023 season. All-conference and major award selections were determined by a vote of the league's 10 head coaches and were based on conference-only performances.

Lukovic, a three-time all-conference and four-time 2023 offensive player of the week honoree, has been the nation's leading scorer throughout the fall. In NJAC play, he racked up 33 points on 14 goals and five assists, leading the conference in all three scoring categories. Five of his goals were credited as game winners. In total, he is up to 58 points on 26 goals and six assists for the season.

Murphy is a two-time all-conference midfielder, earning Second Team accolades in 2022 and First Team honors this season. He is tied for second in conference-only assists, tied for fourth in conference-only game-winning goals (2), and ranks seventh in conference-only points (10).

Chesney, the 2022 Logar award winner and this year's Co-Defensive honoree, anchored a Montclair State defense that ranked as the top back line in the NJAC. Chesney and the Red Hawks allowed a league-low three goals in conference play and posted six shutouts. They also held NJAC opponents to an average of just 8.2 shots per game.

Swen was part of a Rutgers-Camden back line that posted four shutouts in NJAC play. He has played the most minutes of any Scarlet Raptor this season, and has also chipped in four goals from the back field including one in conference action.

Ridge, a two-time Defensive Player of the Week selection, ranked first among NJAC keepers in conference-only save percentage (.917), tied for first in conference-only shutouts (4), and ranked second in conference-only goals against average (0.50).

Radoncic was named the David Logar Leadership Award recipient. The award is presented annually to the player who best displays the attributes of leadership and courage. Radoncic joined Chesney on the staunch MSU back line that posted six shutouts, while chipping in two assists.

Bartletta, a two-time Rookie of the Week and one-time Defensive Player of the Week, anchored the Stockton defense in net. The rookie keeper posted a 1.03 conference-only goals against average and .800 conference-only save percentage while posting three clean sheets against NJAC opponents.

Tumelty and assistants Joe Cullen, Marlon Pollard, Dwight Ceballo, and Antonio D'Andrea guided Montclair State to a 9-0 NJAC record and the top seed in the NJAC tournament. The 2023 Red Hawks have been ranked as high as No. 5 nationally and boast the nation's leading scorer in Amer Lukovic. Four of their student-athletes earned major awards and seven were named all-conference, including five First Team picks.
