PITMAN, NJ --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its women's soccer weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 23.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KYLIE PRENDERGAST • Montclair State University
Freshman • Forward • Livingston, NJ/Livingston

Prendergast earns her first and Montclair State’s fourth NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honor two weeks after being named Rookie of the Week. She netted five goals as MSU won a pair of conference games to remain in the hunt for first place. She tallied her second hat trick of the season by scoring all three goals in the Red Hawks’ 3-0 blanking of William Paterson. She followed up with two more goals in a 3-0 win over Rutgers-Camden. Prendergast leads all rookies and is second overall only to teammate Aileen Cahill in conference-only scoring with 16 points on seven goals and two assists.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CORINNE BYRUM • The College of New Jersey
Sophomore • Goalkeeper • Clemmons, NC/West Forsyth

Byrum is named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after recording back-to-back shutouts last week. She stopped two shots as the Lions ended in a scoreless draw with No. 20 Rowan and then made four more stops in a 3-0 win over NJCU. Byrum currently ranks third among NJAC keepers with a .786 conference-only goals against average and third in conference-only shutouts (3).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
JULIANNA GIORDANO • Rowan University
Freshman • Back • Millville, NJ/Millville

Giordano collects her first and Rowan’s fourth NJAC Rookie of the Week honor, earning the award in back-to-back weeks with twin Olivia. She was instrumental in guiding the No. 20 Profs to two shutouts in a 1-0-1 week, first helping spearhead the defense in holding defending champion TCNJ to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday. She then followed that up on Saturday as Rowan blanked William Paterson 2-0 for the team’s tenth straight shutout and 11th this season. The rookie defender has two assists this season and has helped anchor a Prof back line that has yet to yield a goal in conference play.
