PITMAN, NJ --- The College of New Jersey’s sophomore
Charlotte Roarty (Interlaken, NJ/High Technology/Shore Regional) and freshman teammate
Chase Eisenberg (Stevenson Ranch, CA/West Ranch) have been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player and Rookie of the Year respectively for the 2020-21 season.
Their selections highlighted the 11-member NJAC Women’s Tennis All-Conference Team which was announced on April 29. All selections were made by a vote of the league’s seven head coaches and were based on conference-only match results.
Roarty was named the NJAC Player of the Year after posting a perfect 6-0 record in top-flight NJAC singles play. A two-time NJAC Player of the Week selection in 2021, Roarty also teamed with Jenny Landells to produce a perfect 6-0 mark in second-flight NJAC doubles play. In her first two seasons at TCNJ, Roarty has recorded a combined 24-0 record in NJAC singles and doubles play.
A three-time NJAC Rookie of the Week selection, Eisenberg wrapped up her first season with a 6-0 record in singles. She went 5-0 at fourth singles and won a match at the third spot. Eisenberg also teamed with Alexa Vasile for a 3-0 NJAC doubles record, with two wins at third doubles and an early season win at the No. 2 spot.

Scott Dicheck was selected as the Flo Labenski Coach of the Year by his peers for the 11th time in his career. He led the Lions to the 2020-21 NJAC regular season title with a 6-0 mark and the top seed in the first-ever NJAC Women’s Tennis Tournament. In 21 seasons at the helm of the Lions program, Dicheck has extended TCNJ’s conference win streak to 193-0, the longest known active conference streak in the nation, with 112 of those wins during his tenure.
