PITMAN, NJ --- Stockton senior Cooper Knorr (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) and The College of New Jersey freshman Chase Miller (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) have been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year and Rookie of the Year respectively for the 2020-21 season. Their selections highlighted the 14-member NJAC men’s cross country all-conference team which was announced on March 20. All honors were determined based on individual placing at the 2020-21 NJAC Championship which was conducted at Stockton University on March 20.

Knorr captured his first individual title with an 8K time of 25:33. He becomes the second Osprey in program history to win the individual title, joining Abad Akhtar who won it in 2010. Stockton finished second in the team standings with 30 points.

Miller led the Lions with a third place individual finish by running a 25:58. He was the top Lion runner, and led a group of four First Team All-Conference runners for TCNJ. TCNJ won the 2020-21 title with 29 points, edging out Stockton by just one point.

The College of New Jersey’s head coach Justin Lindsey and Stockton University’s head coach Jayson Resch were selected as the NJAC Men’s Cross Country Co-Coaches of the Year by their peers. Lindsey led his program to its second title in the last three years and 30^th in program history. All seven scoring Lions earned All-Conference honors this year as TCNJ won the meet with 29 points. Resch coached the top two individual finishers including Runner of the Year Knorr and senior Daniel Do, along with a total of five All-Conference honorees.
