Class of 2020 Spotlight: TCNJ Women's Lacrosse

The New Jersey Athletic Conference honors the seniors across all of our spring sports who had their seasons painfully cut short by the global pandemic, but whose dedication, perseverance, and passion for their sport, their academics, and their institution over the last four years was nothing short of admirable. Thank You Seniors, and congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2020!

MADDIE BEAUMONT

"Maddie played field hockey for four seasons and was an outstanding goalie. She became our back-up goalie for the lacrosse team this season despite never playing the sport until January. She volunteered to play when we lost our second goalkeeper. The lacrosse players were amazed at the splits she was doing to save the low shots. They had never seen a lax goalie do that. Maddie was a fantastic addition to our program as a person and teammate. She is incredibly selfless."

LILLY BERNARDI

"Lilly was a phenomenal leader for us. She has worked diligently for the past four years with us. She is fit, strong, and is an experienced and skillful defender. This season, she was leading one of the youngest defensive units we have ever had and she was doing it with flying colors. Much of the improvement of the defense was because of Lilly's leadership. She is an excellent role model."

KRISTIN BICHÉ

"Kristin came to TCNJ as an attacker and made the switch to defense last year. She learned so much last year. She has always been a wonderful teammate. She was eager to learn and willing to do whatever her team needed to be successful. She was instrumental in our transition game last year with her outstanding speed."

TALIA BOUZAKIS

"Talia transferred to TCNJ her junior year from Wagner College. She saw quality time and was a consistent player until she had a season-ending injury during the spring of 2019. Talia had yet to see time this season as she had shoulder surgery and was just starting to be able to run when the season abruptly ended. We were looking forward to getting Talia back on the field."

OLIVIA CLEALE

"Olivia has certainly made her mark in the women's lacrosse program at TCNJ. To say she is an excellent feeder puts it lightly. She has an uncanny sense of when and how to feed the cutter's stick. Despite being face-guarded in almost every game, Olivia continued to produce. The All-American and 2018 NJAC Attack Player of the Year is the active NCAA Division III leader in career assists (161) and second in TCNJ program history in career assists."

KASEY DONOGHUE

"Kasey is a fantastic shooting attacker! Her shot was as accurate as it could be this year and it was fast. Kasey is an excellent cutter as well. She can read the defense and find the spaces with her excellent timing. She has been a four-year consistent player, a three-year starter, excellent leader, outstanding role model, and overall awesome player."

---Head Coach Sharon Pfluger

ALEX FITZPATRICK

"Alex is a truly amazing lacrosse player! She paced our team. She is terrific in all aspects of the game and cannot go unnoticed. Her ability to snag the ball off the draw and then maneuver herself out of very physical double teams is incredibly impressive. Add that to her ability to score numerous goals and you have the perfect lacrosse player. She was often marked up very tightly in our games, yet the mark really could not keep up with her speed, tenacity, endurance, skill, cutting, and shooting."

---Head Coach Sharon Pfluger

ALLIE GORMAN

"Allie is one of the quickest athletes I have ever coached. She has outstanding reactions and can change the tempo of a game in a split second. Allie has scored some clutch goals for us over her four-year career. She works so hard every day and is always eager to learn. Allie's play is quiet, but her impact on a game can speak volumes."

---Head Coach Sharon Pfluger

ALI NATALICCHIO

"Ali is an outstanding goalkeeper. Having been behind Miranda Chrone for three seasons, Ali was ready to go! Every player and coach had the utmost confidence in Ali and she did not disappoint. She was outstanding in our games this season. We were looking forward to a fantastic year for her as she led us in goal!"
