EWING, NJ --- The College of New Jersey women's tennis team swept an NJAC double header to secure the program's 37th consecutive title on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the TCNJ Tennis Complex. The Lions first defeated Ramapo 9-0, before beating William Paterson by an identical score.
TCNJ has won every NJAC match competed since the sport was first sponsored in 1982. The Lions completed their 37th consecutive undefeated season, as the TCNJ program is now 188-0. The Lions' conference winning streak in the longest active conference winning streak in any sport among all three divisions.
With Saturday's wins, TCNJ has claimed the conference's automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament in the spring.
The Lions are back in action next weekend when they head to the ITA Regionals at William Smith College in Geneva, NY.
