Three NJAC Athletes Earn NFCA All-America Honors

LOUISVILLE, KY – Three members of the New Jersey Athletic Conference earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America honors, as announced by the NFCA. TCNJ junior Maya Knasiak was named to the First Team, while Rowan senior Emily McCutcheon and Stockton junior Alexa Panagopoylos each earned Second Team recognition.

Maya Knasiak, TCNJ (First Team – Pitcher)

Knasiak is the first Lions pitcher to earn NFCA All-America honors since 2000 and just the third First Team honoree in program history, joining Donna O'Connell (1987) and Jennifer LoPresti (1991). She ranked among the Division III leaders at the conclusion of the regular season in shutouts (10, 1st), WHIP (0.60, 2nd), hits allowed per seven innings (3.03, 2nd), ERA (0.86, 6th) and strikeouts (150, 7th).

Knasiak's 10 shutouts remain the most in DIII, highlighted by 60 consecutive scoreless innings from March 7 to April 7 — a stretch that included six straight complete-game shutouts. She finished the regular season 14-4 with 13 complete games and 150 strikeouts in 113.1 innings. During the postseason, Knasiak broke the TCNJ single-season strikeout record (174) and became the fastest player in program history to reach 400 career strikeouts.

Knasiak also contributed at the plate, slashing .403/.452/.727 with career-best marks in hits (31), RBI (25), runs (11), doubles (8) and home runs (5) during the regular season. She entered postseason play as one of just eight Division III players with at least 100 innings pitched and five home runs, finishing with more RBI (25) than earned runs allowed (14).

Alexa Panagopoylos, Stockton (Second Team – Third Base)

Panagopoylos became just the second All-American in Stockton program history, joining 2025 Third Team pitcher Nerina Tramp. The honor caps a season that also included NJAC Player of the Year, NJAC First Team, NFCA Region IV First Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition.
Starting all 39 games at third base in her first season at the position after shifting from first base, Panagopoylos batted .368 with a team-high 46 hits, 28 RBI, 13 runs, a .512 slugging percentage and a conference-tied record 15 doubles, which ranked fourth in the NJAC. She recorded at least one hit in 28 of 39 games, including a 15-game hitting streak from March 13-31, and registered a .945 fielding percentage in 109 chances.

Emily McCutcheon, Rowan (Second Team – Pitcher, At-Large)

McCutcheon earned NFCA All-America honors for the third consecutive year, becoming the 47th All-American in Rowan history. She led the team in victories (21), ERA (0.99), innings pitched (170.0), complete games (17) and shutouts (6), striking out 99 batters against just 14 walks. The Early Childhood Education major was also named the most valuable player of the NCAA Marshall Regional and most outstanding pitcher of the NCAA Glassboro Super Regional during the Profs' postseason run.

McCutcheon is part of a Rowan pitching staff that posted a 1.34 team ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and 20 shutouts for the 42-9 Profs.
