PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its softball weekly award winners for the week ending April 5.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MCKENNA GEORGE • Stockton University
Sophomore • Outfield • Centennial, CO/Eaglecrest
George earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after batting .588 (10-for-17) with six runs scored, two RBI, and five stolen bases during a 5-1 week for the Ospreys. The sophomore outfielder was at her best in conference play, going 5-for-8 (.625) with a stolen base across a doubleheader sweep of Rowan, collecting three hits and an RBI in the 7-2 game one victory before adding two more hits and two runs in a 4-2 win in game two. George also posted two hits in each game of a split with Salisbury and added two more steals in a 9-0 win over New Jersey City. She leads the NJAC in stolen bases (28), is tied for first in runs (30), tied for fifth in hits (31), and ranks eighth with a .443 batting average.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
MAYA KNASIAK • The College of New Jersey
Junior • Pitcher • Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape
Knasiak has been named NJAC Pitcher of the Week after dominating on both sides of the ball in a 4-0 week for the Lions. The junior tossed 11.2 scoreless innings across three appearances, striking out 20 batters while allowing just two hits. She fired a pair of complete-game shutouts against Rutgers-Camden and William Paterson, fanning eight and nine batters respectively while surrendering just one hit in each outing, then earned her first save of the season with 1.2 innings of hitless relief in game two against the Pioneers. Knasiak was equally impressive at the plate, going 6-for-12 (.500) with a home run, two doubles, and a team-best seven RBI.

PALEY SULLIVAN • Ramapo College

Sullivan claims NJAC Rookie of the Week after batting .429 (9-for-21) with a .762 slugging percentage, nine RBI, two home runs, a double, and five runs scored across a 6-0 week for the Roadrunners. The freshman shortstop delivered the signature moment of the week when she launched a walk-off grand slam in a 1-1 tie in the eighth inning against New Paltz to clinch a 5-1 victory on Wednesday. Sullivan added another three-run home run against Rutgers-Camden in game two on Saturday, finishing 3-for-4 with three RBI in the 6-1 win. She also collected two hits and an RBI in the opener against New Jersey City and a double in game two to open her week.
ROOKIE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
JORDAN TARABOKIA • Montclair State University
Freshman • Pitcher • North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick
Tarabokia garners NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week after posting a 2.93 ERA across three appearances and 14.1 innings pitched for the Red Hawks. The freshman delivered her best outing on Saturday, tossing a seven-inning complete game in a 5-3 conference victory over Rutgers-Newark, allowing three runs on six hits with five strikeouts. Tarabokia also contributed two scoreless innings of relief in an 8-3 win over Farmingdale State on Wednesday. She struck out eight batters on the week while improving to 5-3 on the season.
