NJCU Men's Volleyball Punches Ticket to NCAA Division III Tournament

JERSEY CITY, NJ --- The New Jersey City University (NJCU) men's volleyball team is headed back to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 2021, punching its ticket with a dominant 3-1 victory over Baruch College in the CUNYAC Championship. The Gothic Knights will face Buffalo State in a play-in game this Thursday at Springfield College in Springfield, MA at 6:30 pm.

The Gothic Knights claimed the CUNYAC Championship title on the strength of a commanding performance against Baruch, securing three sets to one and cementing their place as the conference's representative in the national field. The victory caps off what has been a standout season for NJCU, where they went undefeated in conference play for the first time in program history.

This marks only the second time in program history that the Gothic Knights have earned a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament. Their first appearance came in 2021, when the team fell to No. 11-seeded Wentworth.

Thursday's play-in contest against Buffalo State offers the opportunity to secure NJCU's men's volleyball's first-ever NCAA Tournament win.
