Stockton's Styer Named G. Larry James Most Outstanding Athlete to Highlight NJAC Women's Indoor All-Conference Team

PITMAN, NJ --- Stockton University junior Elaina Styer (Estell Manor, NJ/Ocean City) has been selected as the NJAC’s G. Larry James Most Outstanding Athlete to highlight the 2025-26 NJAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Team.

Additionally, The College of New Jersey senior Lucia Garcia-Beltran (Hopewell, NJ/Hopewell Valley Central) was named Outstanding Track Athlete; New Jersey City University senior Tonna Ogina (North Brunswick, NJ/Highland Park) was named Outstanding Field Athlete; and Rowan University freshman Denirah Jones (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) was named Rookie of the Year. Rowan head coach Shedrick Elliott III and his staff were voted as the Coaching Staff of the Year by their peers.

All-Conference honors were determined by finish at the recent NJAC Indoor Track & Field Championship and major awards were voted on by the league’s nine head coaches.

Styer won the pentathlon for the second consecutive year, setting a new NJAC championship record with 3,747 points to break her own mark of 3,628 set last year. That score also broke her own Stockton program record and leads NCAA Division III this season. She won all five individual events in the pentathlon, posting an 8.92 in the 60 meter hurdles, clearing 1.66 meters in the high jump, throwing 9.92 meters in the shot put, leaping 5.47 meters in the long jump, and running 2:21.80 in the 800 meters. She was a two-time NJAC Field Athlete of the Week and one-time Track Athlete of the Week this season.

Garcia-Beltran won two individual golds and anchored a winning relay in a dominant championship weekend. She set championship meet records in both the 60 meters (7.56 seconds in the prelims) and 200 meters (24.65 seconds) with NCAA Division III top-10 times in both events. She currently ranks second in D3 this season in the 60 meters and is tied for sixth nationally in the 200 meters. She was also part of TCNJ’s all-time Division III record-setting 4x200 meter relay, joining Kelsey Thomas, Petra Doherty, and Rukiyat Daranijo. The quartet combined for a time of 1:39.69, breaking the previous championship record of 1:40.49 set by Rowan in 2023, and became the first-ever D3 4x200 relay to run sub-1:40. Garcia-Beltran was a three-time NJAC Track Athlete of the Week this season and was named USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week earlier this season.

Ogina saved her best for the postseason, posting season bests in all three of her events at the championship meet. She captured gold medals in the high jump and triple jump and added a silver in the long jump. She matched her PR by clearing 1.63 meters to win the high jump. She won the triple jump with a mark of 11.18 meters and leaped 5.37 meters for second in the long jump. Her triple jump ranks third in the Metro Region this season, her high jump is tied for fourth, and her long jump is sixth. Ogina is a two-time NJAC indoor high jump champion and won the same event at the 2025 NJAC outdoor championship as well, making her a three-time conference champion in the event.

Jones made an immediate impact in her first collegiate indoor season at Rowan. She won the long jump with a leap of 5.45 meters. Jones also finished fifth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.92 seconds. She set personal records consistently throughout the regular season and ranks second in the Metro Region in the long jump and fifth in the region in the 60 meters this season. She was a three-time NJAC Rookie of the Week this year.

Elliott and his staff of John Oberg, Eric DuBois, Jassina Surles, Joseph Kalnas, and Milton Goode were named NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Profs to the team championship with 201 points. Rowan captured five individual golds and two relay golds en route to its first title since 2017. The Profs picked up wins in the 60 meter hurdles, long jump, mile run, 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters, 4x400 meter relay, and distance medley relay. Elliott and staff currently have two athletes ranked in the top 10 in NCAA Division III in their respective events.
