MAHWAH, NJ – Ramapo College sophomore right-hander Michael Zalinkanskas has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, the organization announced.
 
Zalinkanskas posted a 2-0 record with a 0.84 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 10.2 innings across two starts last week, earning NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors in the process. The Cranford, N.J. native set a new career high with 14 strikeouts in just five innings during Saturday's 13-6 victory over St. Joseph's (L.I.), marking his third consecutive outing with double-digit punchouts. He opened the week with 10 strikeouts in 5.2 innings of one-run ball in a 4-1 win over Southern Maine.
 
Opposing batters hit just .135 against Zalinkanskas on the week. On the season, the sophomore carries a 4-0 record with a 1.64 ERA, a 1.23 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts in 22.0 innings pitched. Opponents are batting just .143 against him through four starts.
