INDIANAPOLIS — The New Jersey Athletic Conference opened the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday at the IU Natatorium with a strong showing, highlighted by five First Team All-America performances and three Second Team All-America honors across multiple events and institutions.
WOMEN
Kean's Olivia Chow and Braelyn Wilson led the way on the women's side, each earning First Team All-America honors. Chow clocked 2:03.97 in the 200 individual medley to place seventh overall, while Wilson turned in a 23.23 in the 50 freestyle to finish sixth. Salisbury's Rowan O'Donoghue added Second Team All-America recognition in the 500 freestyle, finishing 16th overall in 5:06.33.
In the 500 freestyle, Salisbury had two additional competitors alongside O'Donoghue. Addi Wood finished 33rd at 5:04.02 and Rowan's Kaitlyn Crouthamel placed 42nd in 5:12.63. Salisbury's Maddie Powell also competed in the 200 individual medley, finishing 59th in 2:11.36. In the 50 freestyle, Salisbury's Lily Griffin placed 60th at 24.38 and Libby Miyashita finished 66th at 24.73, while Mary Washington's Soleil Clifford placed 64th in 24.50.
Kean's 400 medley relay team of Braelyn Wilson, Abby Burns, Olivia Chow and Emma Bellars finished 17th overall in 3:47.59. Salisbury's relay team of Isabelle Salvatore, Mackenzie Gula, Lily Griffin and Rowan O'Donoghue placed 24th in 3:54.14.
MEN
TCNJ's Steven Bendoraitis and M.J. Hoban each earned First Team All-America honors on the men's side, as did the TCNJ 400 medley relay. Bendoraitis placed eighth overall in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:28.35, while Hoban clocked 19.94 in the 50 freestyle to finish sixth.
The relay team of Andrew Kidchob, Tyler McGeehan, Joe McChesney and M.J. Hoban capped the day by finishing seventh overall in 3:13.40.
USMMA's Carter Kov earned Second Team All-America recognition in 3-meter diving, posting 483.70 points to place 11th overall, and Salisbury's 400 medley relay team of Mason Potts, Dominic Kazzi, Cameron Byrd and Owen Brewer also earned Second Team All-America honors, clocking 3:16.26 to place 14th overall.
TCNJ had three swimmers in the 500 freestyle. Matt Liotti placed 21st in 4:29.97 and Gavin Formon placed 27th in 4:32.71 alongside Bendoraitis. In the 200 individual medley, TCNJ's Gabe Beverini finished 33rd in 1:51.86 and Salisbury's Cameron Byrd placed 35th in 1:53.28. In the 50 freestyle, Salisbury's Mason Potts tied for 35th at 20.43.
Looking Ahead to Day Two
The NJAC returns to the pool on Thursday with a full slate of events. On the women's side, Salisbury's Rowan O'Donoghue and Addi Wood compete in the 200 freestyle, while Rowan's Ella Pennington, Kean's Braelyn Wilson and Salisbury's Lily Griffin and Libby Miyashita are entered in the 100 butterfly. Rowan's Kaitlyn Crouthamel takes on the 400 individual medley. Kean's relay team of Braelyn Wilson, Emma Bellars, Sydney Stemley and Olivia Chow competes in the 200 freestyle relay.
On the men's side, TCNJ's Steven Bendoraitis and M.J. Hoban swim the 200 freestyle, while Joe McChesney, Cameron Byrd, Mason Potts and Andrew Kidchob are entered in the 100 butterfly. TCNJ's Gavin Formon swims the 400 individual medley. TCNJ also fields a 200 freestyle relay.
