GLASSBORO, NJ – Courtney Edmundo poured in a game-high 26 points to lead fifth-seeded Rutgers-Camden to a 69-55 victory over fourth-seeded Rowan on Saturday, February 21, in the quarterfinal round of the NJAC Women's Basketball Championship at Esby Gym.

With the win, Rutgers-Camden (15-12) advances to the semifinal round and will travel to face second-seeded TCNJ on Tuesday, February 24, at 7:00 PM.

Rutgers-Camden controlled the game from wire to wire, using a strong first quarter and a dominant second period to put the contest out of reach. The Scarlet Raptors led 38-23 at halftime after building their advantage steadily through the opening two quarters, capped by a Tireya Wyatt three-pointer just before the break.

The third quarter proved decisive. Rutgers-Camden outscored Rowan 18-12 in the period, pushing the lead as high as 26 points midway through the frame on a Hope Goodwine layup. Rowan made a spirited run in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Scarlet Raptors 20-13 down the stretch, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.

Edmundo was relentless in her attack, finishing 7-of-19 from the field and 3-of-9 from three-point range while converting 9-of-10 free throws. She also contributed nine rebounds and three steals. Goodwine added 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting with four assists, and Tamea El chipped in seven points and eight rebounds. Mya Patino was the standout off the bench for Rutgers-Camden with eight points.

For Rowan (16-10), Jes Mastriano led the Profs with 17 points off the bench, going 4-of-7 from the field and 9-of-13 from the free throw line. Megan Donelson added 11 points and six rebounds, while Haley Selmer contributed eight points and six boards. Charlotte Carlies anchored the interior defensively with four blocks.

Rutgers-Camden shot 35.5 percent from the field and made 8-of-24 attempts from three-point range, leaning heavily on free throws to fuel its offense, converting 17-of-25 attempts. Rowan went 0-for-6 from beyond the arc but was efficient at the line, making 27-of-41 free throw attempts. The Scarlet Raptors held a 43-33 advantage on the boards and scored 16 points off 20 Rowan turnovers.
