2026 NJAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Announced

PITMAN, NJ --- Rowan University senior forward Sara Wiedeman (Haddon Township, NJ/Haddon Township) has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year to headline an impressive slate of award winners and all-conference honorees.

Additionally, Montclair State University senior Shannon Mullins (Paramus, NJ/Paramus) was tabbed Midfielder of the Year for the second straight season; Rowan junior MaKala Baker (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) was named Defensive Player of the Year; Stockton University senior Tori Vliet (Marmora, NJ/Ocean City) is the Goalkeeper of the Year; Montclair State freshman Kaylee Lauber (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville) is the Rookie of the Year; and Rowan head coach Scott Leacott and his staff were tabbed the Joe Russo Coaching Staff of the Year.

In total, 49 student-athletes earned all-conference recognition for the fall 2026 season. All-conference and major award selections were determined by a vote of the league's head coaches and were based on conference-only performances.

Wiedeman, now a three-time First Team All-Conference selection and a two-time NJAC Offensive Player of the Week this fall, put together a dominant final season. In conference play, she led the NJAC with 25 points (2.78 per game) and nine assists (1.00 per game), while her eight goals ranked second in the league. The senior forward had a hand in 17 of Rowan's 29 conference goals and was credited with two game-winning goals.

Mullins, a former NJAC Rookie of the Year and now a two-time First Team All-Conference selection, earned Midfielder of the Year honors for the second consecutive season. In conference play, the senior ranked third in the NJAC with seven goals and fourth with 16 points, leading all league midfielders in both categories. She added two assists and two game-winning goals, the latter tied for third in the conference.

Baker, a two-time First Team All-Conference selection, anchored the stingiest defense in the NJAC. The junior back helped lead a Rowan unit that allowed just two goals in nine conference games (0.22 per game) while posting a league-best .857 team save percentage. A two-time NJAC Defensive Player of the Week this season, Baker gives Rowan the Defensive Player of the Year award for the second straight season.

Vliet capped her career by earning Goalkeeper of the Year honors and first career all-conference honor. In conference play, the senior led the NJAC with five shutouts in nine games while ranking third with an .837 save percentage and fourth with a 0.79 goals against average. She made 36 saves in 798 minutes and helped Stockton allow just seven conference goals. Vliet was named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 19.

Lauber made an immediate impact as a freshman, earning NJAC Rookie of the Year honors. In conference play, the forward recorded nine points on three goals and three assists, with her assist total ranking among the league leaders. The two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week also earned Second Team All-Conference recognition.

Leacott along with assistants Veronica Rhea, Shelby Money and Jeff Zoyac guided Rowan to a historic season, earning Joe Russo Coaching Staff of the Year honors. The Profs went a perfect 14-0-0 in the regular season, the first unbeaten and untied regular season in program history, including a 9-0-0 mark in NJAC play. Rowan players claimed six of the nine NJAC Defensive Player of the Week awards and eight all-conference spots, including two major awards.
