PITMAN – Salisbury running back Dario Belizaire and Montclair State offensive lineman Thomas Smith were named to the 2025 Associated Press Division III All-America Team, announced by the AP on December 18.
Both earned Third Team All-America recognition.
Belizaire, the junior from Cambridge, Md., becomes the second AP All-American in Sea Gull football history. Tre Price was named Second-Team last season. This will be back-to-back years where the Red Hawks earn an AP All-American, with Nicholas Burgess and Arnold Young both being named Second Team All-American in 2024.
Belizaire posted his second consecutive season with 1,000 all-purpose yards. Through the air, he tallied 622 yards on just 23 catches, which is good enough for 27 yards per reception, along with nine touchdowns. The nine touchdowns stand as the most receiving touchdowns in a single season for the Sea Gull football program. On the ground, he tallied four touchdowns with 641 yards on 64 carries, which is 10 yards per carry. The Sea Gull offense finished first in the country with 54 rushing touchdowns, second in rushing yards with 3,711, third in rushing yards per game at 309, and second in yards per carry with 7.84.
Smith adds this honor to his list of accolades after being named D3football.com Third Team All-Region II and First Team All-NJAC this season. Tom was the anchor of a dominant Red Hawk offensive line. He started all nine of his appearances and helped guide an offense that ranked in the top four in the NJAC across every major statistical category. Under his leadership, Montclair rushed for a school-record 27 touchdowns, and the offensive line surrendered just six sacks all year, with Smith not being responsible for a single one.
The Division III All-America team is chosen by a panel of sports information directors who cover D-III football.
