GALLOWAY–The College of New Jersey’s women’s cross country team claimed the
2014 New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship in a meet held in heavy rain and wind at Richard Stockton College. The victory by the Lion women marked their second consecutive NJAC title and their 25th conference crown in program history.
Rowan junior Christin Bettis claimed the NJAC women’s individual championship with a winning time of 22:30.05 in the 6K race. Her performance marked the sixth consecutive season that a Prof has claimed the NJAC individual women’s title. Ramapo junior Emily Brock was the runner-up with a time of 22:48.76,
TCNJ claimed the team crown with a winning score of 30. Rowan was the team runner-up with a score of 54, followed by Ramapo (67), Richard Stockton (97), Rutgers-Camden (154), Rutgers-Newark (177) and NJCU (199).
