TCNJ Captures the NJAC Men's Cross Country Championship

GALLOWAY–The College of New Jersey’s men’s cross country team claimed the 2014 New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship in a meet held in cold and wet conditions at Richard Stockton College on November 1. The victory by the Lion men marked their 21st consecutive NJAC title and their 26th conference crown in program history. 

Rowan senior Jon Sewnig gave the Profs a sweep of the individual titles by claiming the men’s crown with a winning time of 25:30.17 on the 8K course. Sewnig, who won by 37 seconds, is the second straight Rowan runner to take the men’s individual crown. Ramapo junior Paul Juelis took the NJAC runner-up spot running a time of 26:07.26.

TCNJ claimed the team crown with a winning score of 40. Rowan was the team runner-up with a score of 45, followed by Ramapo (47), Richard Stockton (112), Rutgers-Camden (148), Rutgers-Newark (179) and NJCU (225).
