GLASSBORO--With a 205-93 victory over rival Rowan on January 31, TCNJ's women's swimming & diving team completed an undefeated (4-0) conference season to claim the 2008-09 New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championship.

It was the 18th women's swimming & diving championship in league history, but the first since 2002--03 - the last time the conference featured five or more institutions which sponsored the sport on the varsity level.

For the Lions, the title marked their ninth NJAC crown since 1986-87 College of New Jersey’s women’s swimming and diving team defeated their hosts, the Profs of Rowan University on Saturday to earn the 2008-09 New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship in both sports. The 2008-09 season marked the return of swimming and diving as a league sport.
