PITMAN—The College of New Jersey junior Margaret Molloy and Rowan University sophomore Samantha Rottkamp have been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Swimming & Diving Swimmer and Diver of the Year respectively for the 2009-10 season. In total 30, NJAC student-athletes earned all-conference recognition in women’s swimming & diving during 2009-10. All NJAC special award selections were determined by a vote of the league’s five head coaches, while the NJAC all-conference selections were based on performances at the Metropolitan Conference Championships held at Rutgers University on February 19-21.

EWING—With a 183-110 victory over arch rival Rowan on January 30, The College of New Jersey’s women’s swimming & diving team captured its sixth consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship. PITMAN--The College of New Jersey has been selected as the favorite to win the 2009-10 New Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship in a preseason poll of the league’s five head coaches. The defending conference champion Lions will be seeking their ninth NJAC title in program history, and their second consecutive league crown since the return of women’s swimming & diving as a conference sport in the 2008-09 academic year.

GLASSBORO--Tony Lisa will return for his second stint as head coach of the Rowan University men’s and women’s swim teams. The appointment was announced on September 14 by associate athletic director Dan Gilmore. Lisa previously coached at the University for 30 years. He compiled a 228-78-1 record as the men’s coach (30 years) and a 169-51 mark (21 years) with the women. Lisa produced a .754 overall winning percentage during his first tenure.

Rowan University swimmers Kyle Mongelluzzo and Steph McAllister have been selected to attend the NCAA Student-Athlete Development Coaches Forum at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in
Lake Buena Vista, FL on May 28-29.
The NCAA student-athlete development staff within educational affairs in partnership with the championships group, will conduct the forum which is in its first year. The objective is to provide a three-phase coaching development opportunity to students interested in becoming coaches in the sports of bowling, soccer, swimming and diving or wrestling after graduating from college. The focus of the workshop is to educate attendees on the unique aspects of running a collegiate athletic sports program.

EWING–The College of New Jersey’s women’s swimmer, senior Ava Kiss was named to the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District At-Large Second Team for her accomplishments in the pool and in the classroom.
An art history major at TCNJ with a 3.24 gpa, Kiss etched her name into program history when she became the College’s first NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming national champion when she set a national Division III record in capturing the 2008 title in the 100 butterfly in 55.08.
A member of the Lions’ 2008 Metropolitan Conference Championship Team, Kiss caps her career having earned five All-America citations. A four-time TCNJ Scholar-Athlete, Kiss holds four individual school records and was a three-time team MVP.
Named the Team and Metropolitan Conference Rookie of the Year in 2005, Kiss is also part of a school record holding relay team and was named the Most Valuable Swimmer at the 2006 ECAC Division III Championships.
